Shift Supervisor Job Description:

A McDonald’s Shift Supervisor is liable for providing training, preparation, and inspiration to crew and other supervisors/managers. Shift Supervisors plan for each shift using pre-shift tools for all areas, main informative shift jumbles, motivate the team throughout the shift, observer performance, and take any helpful action needed to meet the guest request. The Shift Supervisor will confirm the team is assembly McDonald’s operational standards while checking safety, security, and success in all areas of the restaurant. Shift Supervisors are liable for meeting targets during their shifts and for serving their allotted departments meet their goals.

Salary $20.60 per hour. Full time would include 8 hours of work per day, 5 days a week, flexible shift schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and may include overnights. 2 flexible days off. Part time to be assigned upon appoint to confirm job duties are available within available hours. Work schedules comprise shifts to a maximum of 8.5 hours of work and 30 minutes of break. Liable on the business operation, these shifts will vary from early morning, afternoon, evening, and/or overnight. On-Floor Shift Management and Area Supervision: 85-90% Administrative Tasks: 10-15%

Duties include:

Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food.

Leads the shift as designated "Shift Supervisor", conveying and working through area supervisors to succeed business results. When not allotted as the Shift Supervisor, may be assigned as area supervisor assistant the shift

Joins plan for success to area supervisors in chosen area (shift huddle)

Finishes travel path every 30 minutes and delivers direction and coaching to staff on shift to confirm customer service and business values are being met

Helps keep standard for raw and ended product quality, service and speed, quality and hygiene

Maintain records of sales, stock and wastage

Train and succeed staff in job duties, food safety practices, business practices, and health and safety events

Follows cash handling procedures with handling and merging cash hangs as well as balancing and recording safe fillings

Communicate with guests to confirm a optimistic connection with customers including responding to objections in a proficient manner.

Start methods to meet work schedules

Proves and applies a high standard of people and employ practices

Wide message with multiple client groups including staff, management team, customers, leadership team

Required Qualifications

Several years of experience in food preparation or food service are compulsory

2-4 years of recent restaurant or food-related administration experience in a rapid service, high volume setting. McDonald’s experience is an asset. *recent defined as within the last 3-5 years

Shows a basic/intermediate level of written and verbal message

Holds valid First Aid and Food safety certifications (company to deliver first class for qualified candidates if needed)

A permanent position; requires candidate to be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or legally entitled to work in Canada for 12 months or greater. This position does not include an LMIA
